My First TREK

                      Trek to Jambhulmal - Highest Point In Mumbai

SGNP - Sanjay Gandhi National park for me was only limited to Canner Caves and Gandhi Stupa, so when i heard of trek to the highest point in mumbai i was pretty much excited. Since i wanted to start trekking i though this would be the ideal trek to start with, so i registered with Bhatkanti Maharashtrachi for this trek.

First experience was fabulous with the trek, with the group and best part was that we where accompanied with Prof. Shailesh Gupta zoology professor form Bhavans Colleges. He gave us such minute detail about the smallest creatures we found in our way.

Harvester Ant Nest

The forest was dense and it was massive humid. The whole stretch till top was trying but once you reach the top the view makes you forget everything. We walked through a restricted forest area that boasts of many beautiful trees, flowers, birds and wild fruits. Imagine the surreal panoramic view of the 3 lakes viz. Tulsi, Vihar, and Powai against the backdrop of the city spread in front of you.
